Claire started dancing at age 3 in all aspects of dance including Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Freestyle Disco and Theatre Craft. She was nominated for IDTA scholarships in all 4 core subjects; Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Theatre
Craft. As well as focusing on her exams she travelled the country performing and competing at pantomimes and dance festivals including the prestigious All England Dance Festival.

At 16 years old Claire moved to London after deciding she wanted to further her dance education and gained a place at Italia Conti, London studying all aspects of dance, singing and drama at an advanced level. It was here that Claire found her passion for street and urban dance styles. After successfully finishing the course she decided that although she loved performing, being so young in London away from friends and family, that she would like to begin her dance teacher training back in Nottingham. So she gained a qualification in Exercise to Music and started a very popular Adult Street dance class whilst working as a nail technician! She then quickly went on to achieve an IDTA Associate in Freestyle dance and Modern Jazz and started children street dance classes in local schools, church halls, nurseries and leisure centres. Claire also worked for 2 years teaching street dance in a secure unit. Classes continued to grow and Claire opened the doors to the first Vibez studio in 2008 where she then began to teach a full programme of lessons in all areas of dance.

By 2009 classes were full and a bigger studio was needed. Vibez moved to a new studio which she still currently teaches in today. Claire continues to work hard to educate herself further by taking classes at Pineapple in lots of dance styles including House, Waacking and Locking as well as taking a UDO teachers training course. Claire trains 5 street dance teams which compete around the country and have achieved world championships finalist titles. Claire loves to teach all the different dance styles and provide a fun environment for children to learn. Claire continues to run the business and be mum to daughter Shyla Princess.

Samie aka DJ Samie is the Vibez receptionist in the week; she also teaches in Vibez classes including adult street, kids starter street classes and a teenage street class as well as private lessons. Samie started dancing at the first ever Vibez class in 2005 when she was 12 and has been dancing at Vibez ever since! Before joining Vibez Samie went to Theatre Train in Nottingham for 3 years where she took part in shows at The Dominion Theatre in London and The Palace Theatre in Manchester.

At Vibez she has taken her IDTA Bronze-Gold Bar 1 Street and Freestyle exams before moving onto her IDTA Student and Associate Freestyle Teacher exams in 2010 and 2011. Samie started teaching an after school club at a local school as well as assisting and taking her own classes at the studio. Samie has danced at Carnivals, Festivals, Competitions and Shows in her 10 years at Vibez and loves performing and helping backstage.

Katie trained in all aspects of dance and musical theatre and received nominations for IDTA Theatre Awards prior to embarking on her dance teacher training at the age of 17.

During her teacher training, she was part of a National touring theatre show of ‘Dirty Dancing’ and it was there she caught the performing bug and decided to pursue vocational training at a professional Theatre School.

Katie began her professional training at Phil Winston’s Theatre Works in Blackpool  where she studied everything from commercial jazz and street, to ballet, singing, tap and musical theatre. After two years in Blackpool, Katie sustained a serious knee injury which meant reassessing her studies.
